Never had mesquite before the pods used to grow on the mesquite trees in our backyard.
I remember the smell of them is incredible.
Trying to scale back on caffeine this is excellent
And actually has a nice bold bitter coffee taste
Bitter in a good way! I love dark roast strong coffee
And espresso shots. This is the closest I’ve come to that flavor profile. It’s not spot but it’s delicious
It has a very rich robust flavor. I brew 6 tablespoons with boiling water in a French press.
I let it brew for a long time sometimes overnight
(I like it strong) I chill it and serve it over ice
With whole milk, salted caramel syrup and a pinch of brown sugar/Celtic sea salt also compliments the mesquite well too.
Today I’m drinking with a splash of raw goat milk
Which is great too doesn’t taste goat like at all.
Delicious and I love this stuff!
I bet it also brews beautifully in an espresso machine.
