How to make mesquite using an Espresso Machine

1.5T Mesquite
2oz Water (double shot)

Fill portafilter with 1.5 tblsp of grounds (roughly 3/4 full). Do not tamp. Extract espresso like normal.

Fill your portafilter with mesquite - about 1.5 tablespoons for a double shot or until the portafilter is 3/4 full. Gently shake to allow the grounds to settle naturally. Do not tamp the mesquite.

Insert portafilter into the espresso machine and start extracting.

The shot should pull for about 12 seconds.

Prepare as a latte, americano, or your other favorite espresso-style drink, and enjoy!
Other ways to make mesquite

Depending on desired strength, put 3-4 heaping tablespoons of grounds into the French Press. Pour 1.5c of hot water over and let steep for 3 minutes. Plunge and serve.
