How to make mesquite using a Moka Pot
WHAT YOU NEED:
17g | 2.5T Mesquite (for 3 cup moka pot)
6oz Water
DIRECTIONS:
Fill basket 3/4 full, place on low-medium heat, and allow to percolate.
Step-by-step
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Enough Mesquite to fill moka pot basket
- Enough water to fill up to safety valve
1
Fill the bottom chamber of your Moka Pot with water up to the safety valve
2
Fill the basket with mesquite until it’s about 3/4 of the way full. Feel free to play with the mesquite to water ratio according to your preferences.
3
Assemble the Moka Pot, placing the basket into the bottom chamber.
4
Screw the top on and place on low to medium heat. As the water heats it will brew concentrated, espresso-strength mesquite. Keep an eye on the top chamber. It should brew a slow, steady stream. If it is bubbling or spurting from the top, the temperature is too hot and may burn the mesquite!
5
Once the top chamber is full and mesquite is no longer coming out of the spout, your Kamana is ready. The finished consistency should be rich and concentrated, with an espresso-like body.
6
Prepare as a latte or your other favorite espresso-style drink and enjoy!
